The Importance of Golf Fitness and Health - The Izzo Medicine Balls and Disks may help in this department
I have been really bothered with severe back problems the past two years and recently attended Aberdeen Royal Infirmary on several occasions to get to the route of the problem. It could be just wear and tear but the sciatica is giving me severe shooting pains down one leg and I am scheduled to receive some physio and will make an appointment to see a chriopracter.
Pictures such as the above, of me winning the Scottish Mens Amateur, winning a record number of national ranking events, playing in the Walker Cup and on the European and Challenge Tours seem like a distant memory!
It could a case of another season in the wilderness unless I can get back to full health and fitness. The problem is I cannot bend over for too long when practising putting as my back ceases up. Also, I have to be very careful when visiting the gymn. I have lost 30 yards in distance, from being very long off the tee to average, because I cannot non-restrictively swing at it, as I would like.
This goes to show the importance of health & fitness in golf and does not stop me from providing you with some information from our sister site www.golfblogger.co.uk
